Tapeworm is a Canadian independent film directed by Fabián Velasco and Miloš Mitrovič that was released in 2019. The film follows a group of individuals who are struggling to find meaning and happiness in their lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The characters are connected in a very tenuous way, as they all encounter each other briefly throughout the film.

The main character is a sickly man named Ivan, who is trapped in a loveless marriage with his overbearing wife. The film also follows the life of a stand-up comedian named Dave, whose jokes fall flat and he struggles to find his place in the comedy world. Another couple, Mike and Lisa, are stoners who only exchange trivial conversations, and a young loner named Adam is trying to find direction in his life.

Throughout the film, the characters drift in and out of each other's lives, but they remain disconnected and lost in their own existence. The film portrays the mundane and dreary nature of their lives in a realistic, unfiltered way, making for an uncomfortable and sometimes depressing viewing experience.

Despite its heavy subject matter, Tapeworm is not completely devoid of humor. The humor is dark and ironic, highlighting the absurdity of the characters' situations. Overall, Tapeworm is a poignant portrayal of the struggles of everyday life and the isolation that comes with it.
