Tanner Hall is a coming-of-age drama that focuses on the lives of four teenage girls attending an all-girls boarding school in New England. The protagonist, Fernanda, is a smart and sensible girl who feels suffocated in her conservative home and is seeking more independence, expression and fun. She is also plagued by the guilt she feels for possibly causing the divorce of her parents.
Enter Victoria, a childhood friend of Fernanda's who is now a seductive and manipulative teen, who initially seems friendly and fun but soon disrupts and takes over the group dynamics of Fernanda and her friends with her conniving ways and selfish goals.
This leads to intense rivalries and jealousy amongst the girls as they try to navigate their newfound desires and fears while trying to maintain their relationships with each other.
Meanwhile, the school's authoritarian staff are also watching and trying to control the girls' behavior. The film portrays the ups and downs of teenage friendship, love, betrayal, and self-discovery, and how they shape our adulthood and future experiences.
