Tankhouse

Comedy  United States of America

Tucker and Sandrene are estranged siblings who have both recently been blacklisted from the NYC theatre industry. With nothing left for them in the city, they decide to move to Fargo, North Dakota, a place they've never been before. They arrive with hopes of starting a new theatre movement in a city that has never seen anything like it before.

The duo quickly realizes that Fargo is not the bustling cultural hub they were hoping for. Instead, they find a small and tight-knit community that is skeptical of outsiders. Undeterred, Tucker and Sandrene begin to gather a small team of local actors and artists who are eager to join them in their mission to create something new and exciting.

Their first production, a modern adaptation of Chekhov's "The Seagull," is met with mixed reviews. However, the show generates buzz within the community, and soon, people are clamoring for more. Tucker and Sandrene continue to push the envelope, taking risks with their productions and earning themselves a reputation as the town's avant-garde theatre gurus.

As they gain more success, Tucker and Sandrene are drawn into the local political scene, where they find themselves fighting for their right to artistic expression. Meanwhile, they must navigate their own personal struggles and confront the ghosts of their pasts that led them to Fargo in the first place.

Through it all, Tucker and Sandrene remain committed to their vision, even as they realize that their Tankhouse Theatre might not be enough to save them from obscurity in the eyes of the wider theatre world. But for now, they are exactly where they want to be – making art on their own terms in the heartland of America.
