Tamara Drewe is a 2010 British comedy-drama film directed by Stephen Frears and based on the graphic novel of the same name by Posy Simmonds. The film stars Gemma Arterton as Tamara Drewe, a successful newspaper journalist in London who returns to her childhood home in the English countryside to sell the house after her mother's death. Tamara soon discovers that her old flame, Andy (Luke Evans), is now living in the area with his wife, Beth (Tamsin Greig), and their teenage daughter, Jody (Jessica Barden).

In an effort to move on from her troubled past with Andy and pursue a new romantic interest, Tamara undergoes a stunning transformation with the help of a plastic surgeon. As she becomes the object of desire for all the men in town, including rock star Ben Sergeant (Dominic Cooper) and Tamara's former boyfriend, Nicholas (Roger Allam), Tamara finds herself in the midst of a love triangle that threatens to upend the tranquility of the quiet village.

Meanwhile, Beth struggles to keep her marriage together, Jody navigates the complicated waters of adolescence, and the local farmers gossip about the scandalous events unfolding around them. As tensions rise and secrets are revealed, Tamara must confront the demons of her past and make a decision about her future. The film blends comedy and drama to tell a heartwarming and poignant story about love, lust, and the complexities of human relationships.
