As Ged and Arren continue their journey, they encounter various obstacles and challenges. They come across Tenar, a former priestess, who joins them on their quest. She tells them of the legend of the king who attempted to cheat death by searching for eternal life, which led to the creation of dragons and the imbalance in the world.
Meanwhile, Kumo manipulates Arren by appearing to him as a grotesque creature, convincing him that his dark side is his true self and that he needs to embrace it. This leads to Arren killing a guard and running away, with Kumo following closely behind.
Ged and Tenar continue their search for answers and come across Cob, a sorcerer who was once Ged's friend but has now turned evil. He reveals that he is responsible for the imbalance in the world and had created the dragons to do his bidding.
As Arren continues to be manipulated by Kumo, he eventually realizes the truth and turns against her. Ged and the others arrive just in time to stop Cob's plan to destroy the world and restore balance.
In the end, Arren learns to accept his dark side and control it, while Ged and Tenar continue on their journey to restore balance to the world. The movie is a tale of self-discovery and the consequences of one's actions, both good and bad.
