Take Away

Comedy,Family  Australia

Take Away is a 2003 Australian comedy film directed by Marc Gracie. The movie revolves around two neighboring fish and chips shop owners, Tony Stilano and Trev Spackneys, who are in a long-standing feud. Their rivalry has become so routine that they engage in petty pranks and escalates to physical fights, much to the annoyance of their employees.

Their rivalry temporarily takes a backseat when a multinational fast-food chain named "Burgies" opens a store across the street from their shops. Tony and Trev both recognize that the new store poses a significant threat to their businesses, and the two men decide to put their differences aside to take on the competition.

They team up with their employees, including Tony's daughter and Trev's son, to come up with unique marketing strategies to attract customers and outsmart the big corporation. Their schemes become increasingly ridiculous, including a flash mob dance and a mascot battle in the streets.

As the competition heats up, Tony and Trev realize that they have a lot in common and that their rivalry stems from a long-forgotten feud over a girl. In the end, the two put their differences aside and join forces to take on the real competition- the fast-food giant.

The film features a star-studded cast, including Vince Colosimo as Tony, Stephen Curry as Trev, Rose Byrne as Tony's daughter, and Nathan Phillips as Trev's son. Take Away is a fun and lighthearted movie that pokes fun at the absurdity of food industry rivalries and the lengths people will go to protect their businesses.
