Tad is a clumsy and somewhat naive character who longs for adventure and excitement like his hero Max Mordon. He spends his days working on construction sites in Chicago, always dreaming of someday becoming an archaeologist and discovering hidden treasures.
One day, a series of fortunate - or unfortunate - events occur and Tad finds himself accidentally mistaken for a real archaeologist. Before he knows it, he is aboard a flight to Peru, where he is tasked with leading a team in search of the lost city of Paititi. Along the way, he meets a cast of colorful characters including a cynical and sarcastic parrot, a beautiful Peruvian guide, a treasure-hunting villain, and various other jungle creatures.
As Tad and his team journey through the treacherous jungle, they encounter a series of challenges and obstacles, all the while pursuing their ultimate goal of finding the legendary lost city. Along the way, Tad must face his fears and prove his worth as a leader and adventurer. Will they find what they are looking for? Will Tad's dream of becoming a real-life explorer come true? The answer lies within the exciting and action-packed adventure of Tad, the Lost Explorer.
