Swordfish is a 2001 action thriller directed by Dominic Sena and stars John Travolta as Gabriel Shear, a rogue government agent who is seeking to steal billions of dollars from the United States government in order to fund an anti-terrorism unit. He enlists the help of Stanley Jobson (played by Hugh Jackman), a computer hacker who has just been released from prison after serving a sentence for hacking.

Shear puts Jobson through a rigorous test, where he must hack into a government computer system in under 60 seconds. Jobson completes the task and is then hired by Shear to help him carry out his plan. However, Jobson soon realizes that nothing is what it seems, and he is caught in the middle of a dangerous game with deadly consequences.

As Jobson works on the hack, Shear also enlists the help of Ginger (played by Halle Berry), a seductive woman who becomes Jobson's love interest. However, she also has a hidden agenda that further complicates matters.

The movie features explosive action sequences, including a car chase through the streets of Los Angeles and a climactic scene involving a bus full of hostages wired with explosives. The film's themes revolve around the issue of government surveillance and the lengths to which governments will go to protect their interests.

Swordfish received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising its stylish action and performances, while others criticized its implausible plot and heavy use of computer-generated imagery. However, it remains a cult classic among fans of the action genre, and its intense action sequences and gripping storyline continue to captivate audiences to this day.
