When James starts working on the app with Lance, he initially sees it as just a way to meet girls and have fun. However, as the app gains popularity on campus, James starts to see the negative impact it is having on relationships and the way people interact with each other.
James is conflicted about what he has helped create and begins to question his own morals and values. When he discovers that his own mother is using the app to try and find a new partner, he is shocked and dismayed. He confronts her about it, leading to tension and arguments between them.
As James dives deeper into the world of online dating and hook-up culture, he starts to realize the importance of genuine connections and meaningful relationships. He struggles with his own feelings for a girl he meets outside of the app and begins to see the flaws in the superficiality of the hook-up culture he helped create.
In the end, James decides to shut down the app and take responsibility for the negative impact it has had on his peers and his own relationships. He learns valuable lessons about the importance of honesty, integrity, and true connection in a world that has become increasingly reliant on technology and instant gratification.
