Survival Quest is a 1989 action adventure movie directed by Don Coscarelli. The movie stars Lance Henriksen, Dermot Mulroney, and Mark Rolston in the lead roles.
The movie begins with Hank (Lance Henriksen), a survival expert, leading a group of city slickers on a wilderness adventure. The group includes seasoned outdoorsman Gray (Dermot Mulroney), computer programmer Jake (Paul Provenza), executive Cheryl (Catherine Keener), motherly Olive (Lynda Carter), and thrill-seeking Eddie (Mark Rolston).
However, their excursion takes a dark turn when they encounter a paramilitary group led by Jake's former mentor, Colonel Hunter (Michael Allen Ryder). The soldiers are on a survival exercise and mistake the city slickers for enemy combatants.
When Hunter is accidentally killed in a scuffle with Jake, his second-in-command, Easton (Matt McCoy), sees this as an opportunity to eliminate the perceived threat and orders his team to hunt down and kill all of the city slickers.
The city slickers soon realize that they are being hunted and must band together to survive in the wilderness. They use their various skills and ingenuity to evade the soldiers' traps and fight back when necessary.
The group also manages to befriend a local mountain man, Grayfeather (Frank Salsedo), who helps them navigate the rugged terrain and provides them with food and shelter.
The tension builds as the city slickers and soldiers engage in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse. In a thrilling finale, the city slickers and soldiers face off in a violent showdown that will determine their fate.
