Cody Maverick is a young penguin who has always dreamed of becoming a professional surfer. He spends his days practicing on homemade waves in his hometown of Shiverpool, idolizing the legendary surfer Big Z. When a talent scout comes to town for the "Big Z Memorial Surf Off," Cody sees it as his chance to finally make it big.
