In the movie, after accepting his destiny as Captain Marvel, Billy Batson is introduced to the Justice League by Superman. However, during their meeting, they are attacked by Black Adam, who seeks revenge against the Council of Wizards, who had previously banished him. In the ensuing battle, Billy transforms into Captain Marvel for the first time and helps the Justice League defeat Black Adam.
However, Black Adam escapes and begins to target those he believes were responsible for his banishment. This leads Captain Marvel on a quest to stop Black Adam before he can exact his revenge.
Throughout the movie, Billy struggles with the morality of Captain Marvel's powers and whether they should be used for revenge or justice. This internal conflict comes to a head when Captain Marvel finally faces Black Adam in their final battle. In the end, Billy is able to reconcile his beliefs and defeat Black Adam, ultimately choosing justice over revenge.
The movie features impressive animation, impressive fight scenes, and a strong voice cast, including Jerry O'Connell as Superman and George Newbern as Black Adam. The storyline stays true to the source material while providing an interesting exploration of Captain Marvel's moral code.
