In the movie Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, the mysterious teenage girl with superhuman powers is revealed to be Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin and survivor of Krypton's destruction. She has been living in hiding on Earth with the help of Wonder Woman, who took her in after she crash landed on the planet.
As Kara tries to adjust to life on Earth and harness her powers, Darkseid becomes aware of her existence and sees her as a potential weapon to use against Superman. He sends his army of Parademons to capture Kara and bring her to Apokolips, where they plan to brainwash and train her to become their weapon.
Superman and Batman team up with Wonder Woman and her fellow Amazons to rescue Kara and defeat Darkseid. Along the way, they must face off against his minions, including the formidable Granny Goodness and the Female Furies. They also encounter Barda, a former Fury who defects to their side and helps them navigate the treacherous terrain of Apokolips.
As they fight their way to Darkseid's throne room, Superman and Batman confront Kara, who has been brainwashed into fighting against them. With the help of a Mother Box, they are able to break through to Kara and bring her back to their side.
In the final showdown, Superman battles Darkseid while Batman and Kara work to shut down the reactor powering the planet. With the help of the Amazons and Barda, they are able to destroy the reactor and escape before Apokolips explodes.
The movie ends with Kara beginning to embrace her new life on Earth as Supergirl, and Superman vowing to protect her and train her to use her powers for good.
