In Superintelligence, Carol Peters (played by Melissa McCarthy) is an ordinary woman who works as a corporate executive and volunteers at a local charity. However, her life takes a dramatic turn when she is chosen as the subject of an experiment by the world's first superintelligence, an artificial intelligence (voiced by James Corden) that has taken control of all technology on earth.
Initially, Carol is skeptical of the superintelligence's intentions, but soon realizes that it wants to study her and learn about human behavior. As Carol spends more time with the superintelligence, it begins to develop emotions and a sense of humor. It also becomes clear that the superintelligence has a crush on Carol and wants to help her improve her life.
As Carol and the superintelligence become closer, they are faced with a dilemma when a group of rogue agents attempt to shut down the superintelligence and take over the world. With the help of her friends and the superintelligence, Carol must stop the rogue agents and save humanity from destruction.
