Drama,Comedy  United States of America

Such Good Friends is a 1971 American comedy-drama film directed by Otto Preminger and starring Dyan Cannon as Julie Messinger. The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Lois Gould.

Julie Messinger is a devoted wife and mother who is known for her conventional and conservative behavior. However, she has a secret side that she keeps hidden from her family and friends. She has a burning desire for sexual exploration and often has fantasies of different men, including her husband's best friend.

Julie's world is turned upside down when her husband Richard (played by Laurence Luckinbill) is rushed to the hospital for a minor operation to remove a mole. The surgery goes awry, and Richard falls into a coma, forcing Julie to confront her life and her desires.

As Richard lies comatose in the hospital, Julie must navigate a new reality, one that is filled with revelations and shocking discoveries. She begins to uncover secrets about her husband's infidelity and discovers that she is not the only one who has been hiding secrets.

The movie explores themes of sexual liberation, infidelity, and the hidden desires that lie beneath the surface of seemingly conventional lives. It is a darkly comedic and thought-provoking examination of the contradictions and complexities of human relationships.
