Suburban Gothic is a horror-comedy movie directed by Richard Bates Jr. The main character, Raymond (played by Matthew Gray Gubler), is a socially awkward man who moves back into his parents' house after failing to find a job in the big city. He discovers that he has the ability to see and hear spirits, which leads him to team up with a bartender, Becca (played by Kat Dennings), to investigate a series of ghostly occurrences in their town.
As they delve deeper into the mystery, they encounter various eccentric characters, including a psychic (played by Ray Wise) and a priest (played by Jeffrey Combs) who helps them perform an exorcism. The ghost they are chasing turns out to be the vengeful spirit of a young girl who was murdered years ago, and they must find a way to put her to rest before she destroys the town and everyone in it.
The movie is a clever mix of horror, humor, and quirky characters, and the performances from the cast are excellent. Suburban Gothic is a fun and entertaining film that will keep audiences laughing and sitting on the edge of their seats.
