Subferatu is a satirical film that revolves around a group of modern-day Americans on a pleasure cruise. Little did they know that their trip would take them on an unexpected and terrifying journey to the past, where they were captured by a group of Nazi soldiers on a U-boat.
The group includes a diverse cast of characters, including a tech entrepreneur, a social media influencer, a skeptical journalist, and a climate change activist. Despite their differences, they all find themselves fighting for survival as they learn of the U-boat's sinister cargo: a horde of vampires bred by the Nazis.
As they navigate the cramped confines of the sub while dodging the vampire's sharp fangs, the group also must confront their own biases, prejudices, and vulnerabilities. Along the way, they are forced to question their own values and what it truly means to be an American.
Despite the film's ridiculous premise, Subferatu offers biting social commentary on some of the most pressing issues of our time, including climate change denial, fascism, and the dangers of social media echo chambers. With a mix of humor, heart, and horror, Subferatu is a unique and compelling cinematic experience.
