Styria tells the story of two young women, Lara and Carmilla, who are brought together in the eerie and foreboding setting of an abandoned castle in Styria, Austria. As the two begin to explore their intense connection, they discover that the castle hides a dark and mysterious past, and that the women of the town are being plagued by a series of mysterious suicides.
As the town is consumed by fear and hysteria, Lara and Carmilla must confront their own desires and fears, and unravel the secrets of the castle and its inhabitants. Along the way, they encounter a cast of characters, including Lara's father, a reclusive historian who seems to know more than he lets on, and a group of mysterious aristocrats who may hold the key to the town's secrets.
Styria is a visually stunning and atmospheric film, full of gothic imagery and haunting music, and anchored by powerful performances by Eleanor Tomlinson and Julia Pietrucha as Lara and Carmilla, respectively. It is a tale of love, obsession, and the dark forces that can consume us all.
