Student Bodies is actually a slasher comedy film, not related to a couple trying to save their marriage.
The movie is set in a high school, where a killer known as "The Breather" is on the loose, murdering the sexually active students one by one. The Breather communicates with heavy breathing and occasionally calls the victims with prank phone calls. Meanwhile, Toby, a socially awkward student, is smitten by the popular cheerleader, but he struggles to express his feelings.
The film follows the usual slasher formula, with the killer dispatching victims with creative methods such as electrocution and strangulation. As the body count rises, the students and faculty become paranoid and attempt to catch the killer on their own. However, the investigation only leads to false accusations and further confusion.
In the end, Toby becomes the prime suspect, and the chase leads to a final showdown with The Breather, where Toby manages to defeat him and reveals the true identity of the killer. The film ends with Toby gaining confidence and walking off with his dream girl, leaving the school behind for a brighter future.
