Stroker Ace Movie Synopsis

Revolt of the Race Car King

Action,Comedy  United States of America

Stroker Ace is a 1983 American sports comedy film directed by Hal Needham and starring Burt Reynolds, Loni Anderson, and Jim Nabors. The film follows the story of Stroker Ace, a reckless but charismatic NASCAR driver who has become a living legend in the sport. However, his fame and success have come at a price, as he has to put up with the constant demands and shenanigans of his sponsor, a fast-food restaurant chain called "Chicken Pit."

As Stroker grows tired of the Chicken Pit's promotional stunts, he begins to rebel and refuse to follow their every command. This puts him at odds with the company's ruthless owner, Clyde Torkle, who will stop at nothing to keep Stroker under his control. Meanwhile, Stroker finds himself smitten with the beautiful and ambitious Pembrook Feeny, a promoter who is determined to take him to the next level of success.

As the racing season heats up and the tensions between Stroker and the Chicken Pit reach their boiling point, Stroker must rely on his driving skills, his wit, and his charm to come out on top. Along the way, he faces numerous challenges, from sabotage attempts to dangerous crashes, all while trying to win the heart of the woman he loves.

Stroker Ace is a classic example of the action-comedy genre of the 1980s, with fast cars, beautiful women, and plenty of laughs. It was a box office success upon its release, and it has since become a cult favorite among racing fans and Burt Reynolds enthusiasts alike.
