Stree is a horror comedy film directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Raj Nidimoru. The film revolves around the residents of a small town named Chanderi, who are haunted by a female ghost, referred to as "Stree." The legend goes that she visits the town during an annual festival and preys on the men of the town, leaving only their clothes behind.

The film's protagonist is Vicky, played by actor Rajkummar Rao, who is a ladies' tailor and is known for his charm and wit in the town. One day, a mysterious woman named Shraddha Kapoor enters his life, and he falls for her. However, he soon learns that she could be the Stree that the town is terrified of.

As the festival approaches, Vicky and his friends set out to unravel the mystery behind Stree's identity and stop her from wreaking havoc on the town. Through their journey, they encounter various obstacles and supernatural entities but ultimately succeed in trapping Stree.

The film received critical acclaim for its unique blend of horror and comedy and its social commentary on gender issues.
