Charlie is initially skeptical of the small Midwest town where his ex-wife was raised, as he finds it strange that nobody seems to know anything about her or her family. However, he begins to uncover strange clues that lead him to believe that something otherworldly is at play.
He encounters a group of aliens who resemble humans, but with unusual powers and abilities. As he tries to learn more about these beings, he realizes that they are not only hiding the truth about his ex-wife but also have an ulterior motive for their presence in the town.
Desperate to get help, Charlie contacts the FBI, but they dismiss his claims as delusional. He turns to a tabloid journalist, Betty, who believes his story and helps him to alert the public about the alien presence. However, before they can find a way to expose the truth, the aliens catch up to them, and they find themselves on the run from the otherworldly beings.
As Charlie and Betty navigate their way through a dangerous alien invasion, they discover the true extent of the aliens' plan and the terrible consequences it could have for the world. With time running out, they must work quickly to uncover the truth before it's too late.
