The movie Straightheads, also known as Closure in the United States, is a British thriller directed by Dan Reed. The film was released in 2007 and stars Gillian Anderson and Danny Dyer in lead roles.

The story revolves around Alice, a successful businesswoman living in London, who hires Adam, a young and rugged working-class man, to install a security system in her apartment. During the installation, the two characters strike up an unlikely and intense romantic connection, leading Alice to invite Adam to a party in the countryside.

At the party, they pursue their physical attraction and make love in a nearby field. However, their lives change forever when they are attacked by three masked thugs who brutally assault and gang-rape Alice before taking Adam away and disfiguring him permanently with a hammer. The incident leaves both Alice and Adam traumatized, traumatized and struggling to cope with the aftermath of their ordeal.

As the two try to come to terms with what happened, they eventually decide to take matters into their own hands and seek revenge against their attackers. Alice becomes obsessed with finding the men responsible for the attack and, after spotting the ringleader in a club, coerces Adam into joining forces with her on a brutal mission of retribution.

The final act of the film depicts a violent and harrowing revenge plot that leaves all involved reeling from the aftermath of their actions. The film is a visceral and disturbing exploration of the trauma of sexual violence and the lingering effects of brutality on the human psyche.
