Step Up Revolution is a 2012 dance film directed by Scott Speer and the fourth installment in the Step Up film series. The movie follows Emily, a young aspiring dancer from a wealthy family who moves to Miami to pursue her dreams of becoming a professional dancer. When she meets Sean, the leader of a dance crew called "The Mob," they team up to showcase their talents and participate in flash mobs around the city.
However, Emily's father, a wealthy real estate developer, has plans to redevelop the neighborhood where Sean and his crew live, which threatens their homes and their way of life. As Emily and Sean become closer, they partner with The Mob to stage more elaborate flash mobs as a form of protest against her father's plans.
As their dance performances gain momentum and attention online, they soon become a viral sensation and attract the eye of a corporate sponsor, who offers to finance a major production. However, they soon realize that the corporate sponsor has ulterior motives and is using their art and activism for their own profit. Emily, Sean, and the rest of The Mob must decide whether to compromise their values or pursue their vision of creating art for the greater good.
Step Up Revolution is a high-energy dance film filled with elaborate choreography and stunning visuals. It features actors Ryan Guzman as Sean and Kathryn McCormick as Emily, as well as numerous guest appearances from prominent dancers and performers.
