As the young scion, Craig Blake, becomes more involved in the world of bodybuilding and the gym community, he begins to question his own privileged upbringing and shallow relationships. He forms a close bond with Joe Santo, who introduces him to a new way of looking at life and encourages him to stay hungry for success and personal growth.
Meanwhile, Craig finds himself caught between his attraction to the receptionist, Mary Tate, and his growing feelings for a free-spirited artist named Lillian (played by Fannie Flagg). As Craig navigates these complicated relationships, he must also deal with the pressure of closing the real estate deal and juggling his personal ambitions with his family's expectations.
