Stay as You Are is a 1978 Italian drama film directed by Alberto Lattuada. The film stars Marcello Mastroianni as Giulio Marengo, a successful landscape architect who is married but unhappy with his life. One day, while on a business trip to Florence, he meets Francesca (Nastassja Kinski), a beautiful young woman who catches his eye.
The two begin a passionate affair, despite the fact that Giulio soon learns that Francesca might be his daughter. Overwhelmed by guilt and confusion, Giulio tries to push her away and focus on his responsibilities.
