The movie takes place after the events of the first movie, and follows a group of troopers who are stationed at an outpost on a remote planet. They are led by Captain Dax (played by Richard Burgi), who is struggling to keep his troops under control.
Things take a turn for the worse when a group of soldiers arrives at the outpost seeking refuge from a bug attack. Among the group is a mysterious stranger named Captain J. T. "Iceman" Lavery (played by Brian Tee), who claims to have important information about the bugs.
As the night wears on, the troopers begin to experience strange visions and hallucinations, and it becomes clear that there is something very wrong with the outpost. It soon becomes apparent that the bugs have infiltrated the base, taking over the bodies of the troopers and using them to further their own agenda.
As the situation grows more dire, Dax and his fellow troopers must band together to fight off the alien threat and save themselves from the danger lurking within their own ranks.
