Starblack

Western  Italy

Starblack is a 1966 Italian spaghetti western directed by Giovanni Grimaldi. The film stars Robert Woods as Starblack, a vigilante who seeks revenge against the bandits who killed his family. Along with his sidekick, a Native American named Blue, Starblack sets out on a mission to bring justice to the Wild West.

The film features many of the classic elements of spaghetti westerns, including gunfights, duels, and horseback chases. Starblack, with his black costume and signature star, becomes a symbol of hope for the townspeople who are oppressed by the bandits.

As Starblack's mission continues, he becomes entangled with a beautiful saloon dancer named Dolores (Luciana Gilli) and a corrupt sheriff named Morton (Tsilla Chelton). Along the way, Starblack is forced to confront his own demons and maintain his commitment to justice, even when it means risking his own life.

The film is known for its stylish visuals and fast-paced action sequences, as well as its memorable, Ennio Morricone-inspired score by composer Gianni Ferrio. While not as well-known as some of the other spaghetti westerns of the era, Starblack remains a cult classic among fans of the genre.
