Desiree Banner is now a successful lawyer living in New York City, but is struggling with a recent divorce and feeling disconnected from her family. Johnny is a struggling musician living in their hometown, still bitter about the breakup of the band that he felt was caused by Desiree's departure. Mitchel has been running their family's struggling hardware store, barely keeping it afloat.
When they receive news that their hometown is on the brink of bankruptcy, the trio reluctantly agrees to reunite the band for a benefit concert. As they begin rehearsing, old tensions and resentments resurface, but they are quickly reminded of the joy and connection they feel when playing music together.
As the concert approaches, they face several obstacles including a rival band who wants to sabotage their performance and a hometown mayor who is less than supportive.
