Desiree Banner is now a successful lawyer living in New York City, but is struggling with a recent divorce and feeling disconnected from her family. Johnny is a struggling musician living in their hometown, still bitter about the breakup of the band that he felt was caused by Desiree's departure. Mitchel has been running their family's struggling hardware store, barely keeping it afloat.

When they receive news that their hometown is on the brink of bankruptcy, the trio reluctantly agrees to reunite the band for a benefit concert.
