Stand Up Guys is a 2012 crime comedy-drama film directed by Fisher Stevens and written by Noah Haidle. The film stars Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, and Alan Arkin as aging gangsters who reunite after Val, played by Pacino, is released from prison.

Val is excited to be out of prison and reunites with his former partner in crime, Doc, played by Walken, who picks him up on his release day. Val is also eager to reconnect with their third partner, Hirsch, played by Arkin, and the three men spend the day reminiscing about old times, drinking, partying, and visiting their favorite spots from their criminal past.

However, Doc soon reveals to Val that he has been tasked by a crime boss to kill him by the end of the night in order to make up for Val accidentally killing the boss's son years ago. The looming threat of Val's impending death creates a sense of tension and urgency throughout the film as the three men try to avoid Doc's orders, while trying to make the most of their time together.

The film navigates through themes of aging, loyalty, and redemption as Val tries to make amends with the people he wronged in the past and come to terms with the consequences of his actions. The chemistry between Pacino, Walken, and Arkin is a highlight of the film, with their performances bringing humor and heart to the story.

Stand Up Guys received mixed reviews from critics, but the performances of the main cast were widely praised. The film was also nominated for the Golden Trailer Award for Best Comedy.
