Released in 1985, Stand Alone is an action-thriller film directed by Alan Beattie and starring Charles Durning in the lead role. The story revolves around a World War II veteran named Gus (played by Charles Durning), who lives in a rough neighborhood in Seattle. After Gus' friend is killed by a gang member, he becomes determined to take a stand against the increasing violence and crime in his community.
