Dr. Albert Beck is a successful psychotherapist with a dangerous obsession for young, beautiful women. He changes his identity once again and begins working at a sleep clinic where he meets Michelle, a young woman who suffers from sleepwalking. Beck becomes infatuated with Michelle and begins stalking her, even manipulating her treatment to keep her at the clinic longer.
As Beck's obsession grows, he resorts to extreme measures to keep Michelle under his control, including drugging her and convincing her that they are in a romantic relationship. Michelle's friends and family become suspicious of Beck's behavior, but their warnings fall on deaf ears as Michelle believes he is helping her.
