In Spooky Buddies, a group of puppies named Budderball, B-Dawg, Rosebud, Buddha and Mudbud, embark on a Halloween adventure after they overhear a legend about a mysterious mansion called "Warwick Manor". The legend says that the mansion is cursed by a wicked ghost, who has trapped the spirits of five war heroes who died in the American Revolution. The puppies decide to investigate the legend and end up discovering that the legend is true, and that the five spirits of the war heroes are indeed trapped in the mansion.
The puppies also encounter a mischievous ghost dog named Pip, who was once owned by Warwick, the original owner of the mansion. Pip tells the puppies that the only way to break the curse and free the trapped spirits is to find Warwick's long lost journal, which contains the secret to breaking the curse.
The puppies, along with Pip, set out to search for the journal, but they face many challenges along the way, including scary creatures and traps in the mansion.
