"Spookies" is a 1986 horror movie directed by Eugenie Joseph and Thomas Doran. The film follows a group of friends who take a wrong turn and end up at an old mansion. Inside the mansion, they find a group of strange characters, including a sorcerer and his beautiful bride. Soon, they discover that the sorcerer needs sacrifices to keep his bride alive forever, and they are the next victims.
The film is known for its variety of horror elements, including zombies, monsters, ghosts, and more. Each character in the movie faces a different kind of terror, from being trapped in a vortex to being possessed by a demon. The visuals and makeup effects of the creatures are impressive, especially considering the small budget of the film.
Interestingly, "Spookies" was actually two different films that were merged together. A group of filmmakers created a movie called "Twisted Souls," while another group created "Spookies." However, due to financial issues, the two films were combined and re-edited, resulting in the movie we know today.
