Spoken is a horror movie that centers around a young Christian girl named Emily and her group of friends. They all attend a religious high school and are seen as good kids, but their everyday conversations are filled with negative and rude remarks towards each other and others.
One day, Emily starts experiencing terrifying nightmares and strange occurrences that she cannot explain. She soon discovers that a demonic entity is after her and her friends due to the negative words and atmosphere created by their conversations.
As the attacks become more violent and intense, Emily begins to question her faith and whether or not she truly believes in God. She seeks the guidance of a trusted priest who helps her to understand that the power of words is real and can attract negative forces to one's life.
Emily and her friends must now fight against the demonic entity and change their ways to overcome the evil that is after them. The movie sends a message about the importance of being mindful about what one says and the power of words in creating both positive and negative outcomes in one's life.
