Splendor in the Grass is a 1961 American drama film directed by Elia Kazan and starring Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty. The film is set in a small Kansas town in the 1920s and tells the story of Deanie (Natalie Wood), a sensitive and fragile high school girl who falls deeply in love with Bud (Warren Beatty), a handsome and popular young man from the town's wealthiest family.
