Tip and Brent, two friends in their mid-thirties, are struggling with their respective life choices. Tip is an aspiring musician who hasn't been able to catch a break, and Brent is a high school teacher who has lost his passion for teaching. In an attempt to find some clarity, they decide to embark on a spiritual journey through the desert to find answers to their questions.
They pack their camping gear, grab some snacks, and set off on their adventure. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles, harsh weather conditions, and come close to giving up. But as they reach their destination, they stumble upon a patch of hallucinogenic mushrooms. Despite having never experimented with drugs, they decide to take a leap of faith and ingest them.
The mushrooms take effect, and Tip and Brent begin to experience a heightened sense of consciousness, and their perception of reality transforms. As they journey through the psychedelic landscape, they confront their deepest fears, regrets, and doubts. They come face to face with suppressed memories of past traumas, mistakes, and unfulfilled dreams.
However, as the effects of the mushrooms start to wear off, what they discover is that their journey has taught them some valuable truths about themselves and each other. They also learn a practical life skill- changing a tire, which comes in handy when they get a flat on the way back home.
