Spiral is a horror-thriller movie that was released in September 2019. The movie is directed by Kurtis David Harder and written by Colin Minihan and John Poliquin.
The story follows Malik and Aaron, a same-sex couple who move to a small town with their daughter, Kayla. They are hoping to give their daughter a better quality of life and raise her with good social values. They move into a picturesque neighborhood with friendly neighbors who seem welcoming at first.
However, things start to take a dark turn when Malik sees the folks next door throwing a very strange party. He becomes suspicious of their neighbors, and his fears are confirmed when they start to experience unexplainable occurrences in their new home.
As they investigate, they discover that their neighbors are part of a cult who are performing ritual sacrifices. The couple must fight to save themselves and their daughter from the cult's hold on their small town.
Spiral stars Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman as Malik, Ari Cohen as Aaron, and Jennifer Laporte as Kayla. The movie was well-received by critics for its suspenseful storyline and powerful performances by the cast.
