"Spies Like Us" is a 1985 American comedy film directed by John Landis. It stars Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd as two low-level government employees who are recruited by the CIA to be decoys for a top-secret mission.

The film begins with Emmett Fitz-Hume (Chase) and Austin Millbarge (Aykroyd) working at the State Department in Washington, D.C. They are both inept and lazy, but they dream of being spies. One day, they are approached by two CIA agents who think they'd make perfect decoys for a mission to infiltrate the Soviet Union and find a missile launch site.

Fitz-Hume and Millbarge are flown to Pakistan and then dropped into the Soviet Union. They quickly learn that they are not trained spies, but just decoys for a real team of CIA agents who are following them. Along the way, they encounter a beautiful Russian agent named Karen Boyer (played by Donna Dixon) who helps them escape capture and eventually convinces them to help her stop a nuclear war.

The film is a spoof of classic spy movies and is filled with slapstick humor and one-liners. Chase and Aykroyd have great chemistry together and their performances as bumbling fools who stumble their way through a dangerous mission are hilarious.

The film was a box office hit and was well-received by critics. It also features a memorable title song by Paul McCartney and an appearance by actor and former Bond villain, Kurt Jurgens. "Spies Like Us" has become a cult classic and is still enjoyed by audiences today.
