After the Soviet space station crashes into the New York City subway tunnel, a team of engineers and military personnel is sent to investigate the incident. They discover that the crash has brought a species of venomous spiders from space to Earth, which soon start to mutate and grow to enormous sizes.
As the giant spiders begin to wreak havoc on the city, the team tries to find a way to contain the infestation and prevent the spiders from spreading. However, the spiders prove to be highly intelligent and adaptive, and soon they infiltrate the facility where the team is located, forcing them to fight for their lives.
The team is led by Jason Cole (played by Patrick Muldoon), a former astronaut who is brought in to help assess the situation. His ex-fiancé, Rachel Cole (played by Christa Campbell), is also part of the team, adding to the tension and drama as they navigate the dangerous situation.
As the spiders continue to grow and multiply, the team must come up with a plan to stop them before they destroy the entire city. With intense action scenes, thrilling suspense, and frightening special effects, Spiders is a heart-pounding ride from start to finish.
Directed by Tibor Takacs, the film was originally released as Spiders 3D, but has since been rebranded simply as Spiders. It was released in theaters in 2013 and has since gained a cult following among fans of sci-fi and horror films.
