After getting bitten by the spider, Peter Parker suddenly gains immense strength, agility, and the ability to cling to any surface. He starts to develop a strong sense of responsibility and decides to use his powers for good. He creates a spider-themed costume to conceal his identity and becomes the crime-fighting hero, Spider-Man.
However, his new-found powers also attract the attention of his longtime crush, Mary Jane Watson, and his best friend, Harry Osborn, the son of the wealthy industrialist Norman Osborn. Unknown to Peter, Norman is the head of a corporation involved in dangerous experiments with a powerful serum that enhances the physical abilities but also causes severe mental instability.
As Spider-Man, Peter starts to take down the various criminals and supervillains terrorizing his city, including the ruthless Kingpin and the maniacal Green Goblin, who turns out to be none other than Norman Osborn himself, driven insane by the serum. Spider-Man must fight to stop the Green Goblin's destructive plans, save Mary Jane from danger, and keep his alter ego a secret from everyone he cares about.
