Special 26 is a Bollywood heist film directed by Neeraj Pandey, released in 2013. The film is based on real-life events that took place in the 1980s and follows a group of con artists who pose as officers of either the Central Bureau of Intelligence (CBI) or the Income Tax Department. The group, consisting of Ajay (Akshay Kumar), P.K. Sharma (Anupam Kher), Iqbal (Kishore Kadam), and Joginder (Rajesh Sharma), target wealthy businessmen and politicians who they believe are hiding illegal wealth.

The film begins with a young man named Ajay, who is being trained by an older con artist named CBI Officer Wasim Khan (played by Manoj Bajpayee), to become a member of the group. Ajay and his team use their acting skills and fake uniforms to gain entry into their targets' homes and offices. They proceed to conduct fake raids, convincing their victims that they are officers of the law. While conducting the fake raids, they steal large amounts of cash and jewelry from their targets.

However, their latest target is someone they should have avoided – Home Minister of India, Mr. Waseem Khan. This leads to the real CBI and police starting to investigate the series of robberies. Meanwhile, Ajay falls in love with a woman named Priya (Kajal Aggarwal), who is a teacher and the daughter of a retired CBI officer.

As the investigation continues, Ajay and his team plan their biggest heist yet – to rob a vault inside a government office that they believe contains millions of cash and jewels. However, the real CBI and police are hot on their trail, making their plans much more difficult.

The story reaches a climax when the CBI and the police finally catch up with the group, leading to a standoff that will determine their fate. The twist ending reveals that Ajay and his team were not thieves, but rather honest men who stole from corrupt politicians and businessmen and donated it all to charity.
