Comedy,Romance  United States of America,Canada,France

Speaking of Sex is a 2001 comedy film directed by John McNaughton. The story follows the lives of three couples living in a small town in Ohio who are all experiencing various kinds of problems in their relationships. These couples seek the help of professionals to overcome their difficulties.

The main couple, Dr. Roger Klink (Bill Murray) and his wife Dr. Emily Klink (Catherine O'Hara), are sex therapists who have lost their passion for each other. They try to rekindle their relationship by attending counseling sessions with a quirky marriage counselor named Dr. Speakman (David Hyde Pierce).

Another troubled couple is the newly married Nick (Andrew McCarthy) and Nora (Melora Walters), who are struggling to cope with Nick's impotence. They consult a sex expert named Dr. Bruce Fleckman (Jay Mohr) who encourages them to experiment with BDSM. This leads to some hilarious mishaps.

The third couple is made up of an aging lawyer named Dan (James Spader) and his much younger wife Melinda (Mireille Enos). Melinda is suffering from depression and receives treatment from Dr. Roger Klink. The couple's underlying issues come to the surface when Dan becomes obsessed with a sex scandal involving a local judge.

As the couples navigate their problems, they learn a lot about themselves and each other. The film has a lot of humor, but it also addresses serious issues such as depression, impotence, and infidelity.

Overall, Speaking of Sex is an entertaining and thought-provoking film that provides insight into the complex nature of human relationships.
