John Canyon, played by Dennis Hopper, is a seasoned space trucker navigating the galaxy in his old-fashioned rig. In a desperate attempt to pay off his mounting debts, Canyon accepts a job transporting a mysterious cargo to Earth for his employer, the unscrupulous and powerful company known as Hoffman Aerospace.
However, during the flight, Canyon begins to suspect that all is not as it seems with the cargo, and when it is revealed to be a horde of highly advanced and deadly robots designed to destroy everything in their path, Canyon must fight for his life and the fate of the entire planet.
With the help of his co-pilot Mike Pucci (played by Stephen Dorff) and the fearless pilot Cindy (played by Debi Mazar), Canyon engages in a high-stakes battle against the robots and the evil forces behind their creation.
