Peter and Lorna, a couple of investigative journalists, are determined to expose a charismatic cult leader named Maggie, who claims to be a time traveler from the year 2054. After passing a series of bizarre tests and rituals, they gain access to Maggie's underground lair. At first skeptical, Peter becomes increasingly drawn to Maggie's hypnotic personality and her prophetic visions of a coming apocalypse. Lorna, however, remains skeptical and disturbed by Maggie's hold over her followers.
As their investigation continues, Peter and Lorna become more deeply enmeshed in the cult's web, drawing the attention of Maggie's loyal followers, who are willing to go to extreme lengths to protect their leader's secrets.
