After the death of his father, Ken, Matt travels back to his hometown to attend the funeral and settle his father's estate. However, he quickly discovers that his dad had a final request: to have his ashes scattered across the field of his favorite football team, the Buffalo Bills.
Matt's mother initially resents the idea, as she believes his father should be buried next to his grandparents, but she ultimately agrees to honor Ken's wishes. Matt decides to carry out the task with his best friend, Jeff, and his estranged younger brother, Luke, who is still bitter about their father's past mistakes.
As they make the journey to the stadium, the trio realizes they must navigate through their complicated personal relationships and confront the unresolved issues involving their father. Along the way, they meet a group of eccentric Buffalo Bills fans who offer their support and join them in their mission.
