Sooryavanshi is an upcoming Indian action-thriller film directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Rohit Shetty and Apoorva Mehta under the banner Dharma Productions, Rohit Shetty Picturez and Cape of Good Films.
The film stars Akshay Kumar in the titular role of Veer Sooryavanshi, who is the chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad in Mumbai. Katrina Kaif plays the female lead opposite Akshay Kumar, while the rest of the cast includes Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, and others in cameo appearances.
The film is a part of Rohit Shetty's cop universe, which includes the films Singham and Simmba. Sooryavanshi will see Akshay Kumar's character teaming up with Ajay Devgn's Bajirao Singham and Ranveer Singh's Sangram Bhalerao (Simmba) to take down a major terrorist attack in Mumbai.
