As Sean and his friends embark on the road trip, tensions begin to rise among the group. Sean is grappling with grief over his father's death and the weight of the dangerous favor his friend has asked him to do.
When they arrive at the beach, they find themselves caught up in the local surfing culture and make new friends, including a girl named Elle who catches Sean's eye. However, their surf sessions are interrupted when they discover the heroin shipment they were supposed to steal is being guarded by a group of dangerous mobsters.
