Sometimes They Come Back... Again is a 1996 American horror film directed by Adam Grossman and starring Michael Gross, Alexis Arquette, and Hilary Swank. It is the sequel to the original 1991 film Sometimes They Come Back and is based on a short story by Stephen King.
After the sudden death of his mother, Jon Porter (played by Michael Gross) returns to his hometown with his teenage daughter Michelle (played by Jennifer Aspen). Jon hopes to quickly finalize his mother's affairs and leave, but strange occurrences begin to happen. Jon is plagued by nightmares of his sister's brutal murder 30 years ago, and soon discovers that the same sinister forces that caused her death have returned and are seeking revenge.
As Jon a nd Michelle try to settle in, they encounter a host of bizarre and terrifying events. Michelle begins to exhibit strange behavior, including unexplained fits of rage and possession-like episodes. Jon realizes that the demons which have haunted his past have returned to take possession of Michelle's body and soul.
Together with the help of his childhood friend and police officer, Tony Reno (played by Bojesse Christopher), Jon sets out to exorcise the demons and put an end to the nightmare once and for all. As they delve deeper into the mystery, they discover a dark secret that has haunted the town for years.
