Something Wild is a 1986 American comedy-crime film directed by Jonathan Demme and starring Melanie Griffith, Jeff Daniels, and Ray Liotta. The film begins with a chance encounter between Lulu (Griffith), a free-spirited woman with a punk hairstyle, and Charlie (Daniels), a mild-mannered yuppie who works in a Manhattan financial firm. Lulu convinces Charlie to accompany her to her high school reunion in Pennsylvania, and they embark on a wild weekend of adventure that includes drinking, dancing, and shoplifting.
However, their fun takes a dangerous turn when Lulu's ex-con husband, Ray (Liotta), shows up unexpectedly. Ray is possessive and violent, and Lulu is terrified of him. Charlie initially tries to leave, but eventually stays to protect Lulu from Ray's wrath. The three of them end up on a crime spree, robbing a gas station and breaking into a wealthy couple's house.
